Yes! Summer is coming and that means one thing – foodie days out galore. You know how much I love a good food festival and I’m really excited about this one, the Foodies Festival, which is coming to the Midlands. I’ve got a pair of tickets to give away so if you fancy going, enter my competition and read on friends..read on!

Foodies Festival, the UK’s biggest celebration of food and drink, will be making itself at home in Cannon Hill Park into a foodie heaven between 15 & 17th May, with Birmingham’s Michelin-star and top chefs, tasting theatres, pop-up restaurants and more street food than you can shake a satay stick at.

The Aga Rangemaster Chefs Theatre welcomes Glynn Purnell, Matt Cheal and Atkar Islam who will cook their favourite summer recipes and share top tips for visitors to take away and impress family and friends with at home.

Fans of MasterChef can also watch 2014 winner Ping Coombes cook her signature dishes from the series in the Chefs Theatre and try dishes from her Malaysian Pop-Up on the Street Food Avenue. Ping is also joined by MasterChef 2010 winner Dhruv Baker and finalist Jackie Kearney.

As well as all of this, and endless shopping opportunities, there will be a Wine and Champagne TheatreCraft Beer TheatreTasting Theatre and even a  Cake & Bake Theatre.

For lunch, I’ll be heading to the Street Food Avenue which will be offering a huge selection of dishes from around the world. Japanese, Thai, Brazilian, Argentinian, Indian, Mexican, French and African are just some of the cuisines visitors can tuck into at communal tables in the Feasting Tent.

If all that wasn’t enough, the day will finish with live music and a chance to sit down and enjoy a drink or two. It all sounds great and I am mega excited to be an official blogger for the festival.  If you fancy going, you can buy tickets here or by calling 0844 995 1111.
