As you may know, if you’ve been reading Gingey Bites for a while, I was a big fan of BRUM YUM YUM and their Streetfood Market which launched in April last year on the Village Square, Kings Heath, Birmingham. [See my review here]. I’m very pleased to let you know that now the winter is behind us (ahem..) BRUM YUM YUM will be relaunching the KingshEATh Streetfood Market this Saturday.
“People want to eat food that is sourced and produced with care and sold at an honest price. Streetfood ticks all the right boxes. Last year the public response was overwhelming and over the season we served our streetfood to thousands and thousands of Brummies. Streetfood has really taken off in Birmingham and our following just keeps on growing. In May we will launch our weekly street food market in the city centre.”
Highlights from the menu for the KingshEATh relaunch include Masterchef finalist Buddha Belly with real Thai street food, a Caribbean seafood grill, 10 hours roast Cotswold lamb, authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, Indian chaats from Lasan’s Raja Monkey, Valencian paella, South African braai BBQ, loaded pulled pork burritos, freshly made hot churros and chocolate pots, and Korean green tea. New for 2014 is the addition of selected food producers, importers and retailers. These include La Triestina who import fine olive oils, wines and coffees from the Trieste region of Italy, Vegetropolis who source the best organic fruit and veg from all over the Midlands, and Brum Yum Yum’s resident ‘spice girl’ Pip’s Hot Sauce.
Find BRUM YUM YUM on twitter @brumyumyum, facebook/brumyumyum or www.brumyumyum.com & get down to KingshEATh on Saturday 8 March 2014 and every second Saturday of the month. Open 12 – 6pm!
See you there guys and don’t forget to skip breakfast! You won’t need it!
