A perfect avocado

It feels like January has flown by! The start of February means it’s time for the inaugural round-up for my brand new linky challenge ‘Weekend Brunch Club’.  Thank you to all the bloggers who took part, I’m really pleased to have a nice selection of brunch recipes to share with you today. Hopefully, whether you have a sweet or savoury tooth, you’ll find something tasty to try at home!

Something sweet

The Perfect Scone – this dairy free recipe from Elle Blogs looks completely delicious and uses rice milk in place of the usual cow’s milk. I’ve never really mastered the art of baking so I’m pretty envious right now!

Nutella Spelt Pancakes – Dave would go crazy for these, he loves pancakes and well.. just look at them! Nice one BakingQueen74!

Nutella French Toast Roll Ups – A delightfully indulgent brunch for those with a sweet tooth from one of my favourite bloggers Becs at Munchies & Munchkins.

Nutella Smoothie Bowl. The healthy end of brunch, with avocado and fresh fruit plus a dash of luxury thanks to the Nutella. I’m loving this smoothie bowl from Searching for Spice.

Something savoury

Cornmeal Pancakes – a recipe for versatile cornmeal pancakes which can be served in lots of ways but here with bacon and maple syrup! Yummy! Thanks for sharing Casa Costello.

Bacon, Sausage & Egg Strata – I hadn’t heard of a ‘strata’ before Janice from Farmers Girl Kitchen linked this recipe up. Turns out it’s a kind of bacon and sausage baked pudding. It’s from the cookbook Bacon by Teresa Gilliam which looks great.

Bacon Cheeseburger soup – I can’t say that this recipe from Love Lines From God is something I’ve tried before but it certainly get’s points for novelty!

Smashed avocados and feta two ways – My own offering for the linky – try this twist on an Aussie brunch classic!

Spicy Brioche French Toast – This recipe from Choclette at Tin & Thyme is right up my street. I love french toast and have never thought to pair it with spices before. One to try for sure!

Ultimate Syn Free BLT. Love this recipe for a healthy BLT. It’s also slimming world friendly (with 0 syns) and comes from Hijacked by Twins.

Huevos Rancheros – Yum, this is one of my fave meals and this version from Veggie Lad (a fellow Midlander) looks so awesome.

Haggis Waffles – Finishing on something truly awesome from Foodie Quine. These haggis waffles sound so savoury and right up my street, plus, perfectly timed for Burn’s Night.

And that’s it, a great selection of sweet and savoury brunch options. If you’re a blogger and have an awesome brunch recipe to share, look out for my February linky, up soon! You can also find out more about Weekend Brunch Club and how to get involved here.
