I found the best place in Bristol for breakfast.
Around a month ago my sister Eden and her boyfriend Scott came to Bristol for a visit. Scott used to live here so they were visiting friends and then we met up on Sunday for a lazy afternoon brunching and catching up. The weather was meant to be good (before the rainy season hit us!) so I wanted somewhere with outside seating.
After some twitter research, I settled on The Bristolian. I’d walked past it several times already as is just a few mins walk from my flat and it looked good so I crossed all my fingers that we’d get a table – as you can’t book – and luck would have it, we did!
The breakfast menu is great – covering your classics like full English through to waffles, eggs and muesli. Eden and Scott both went for The Bristolian – eggs, toast, smoked bacon, sausage, beans, garlicky spinach tomatoes and crispy potatoes. Priced at £7.95. I went for The Bristolian Fusion – similar to the breakfast above but with chorizo in place of sausages, black pudding and bacon, and a spicy tomato salad and minty yoghurt in place of beans and flat bread in place of toast. Also £7.95.
The Bristolian cook everything fresh on site and only use locally sourced and free range meat and eggs. They also use locally sourced coffee and although I’m not sure whose, it’s very tasty! The food was delicious, we ate up every last mouthful. For me, the garlicky spinach was a real winner and the eggs were cooked to perfection.
Could this be Bristol’s best breakfast? I think so!
Breakfast is probably my favourite meal of the day and these place looks glorious! I love that they only use locally sourced produce!

All that food looks incredible especially the eggs! How fresh do they look!
I don't do full English, but my hubby would absolutely love this place.
Looks like a great place to eat. Do they do veggie breakfasts too?
I love a good cooked breakfast! The Bristolian cafe looks like a great place to eat and the food looks and sounds amazing! Reasonably priced too! 🙂
Yes they do! There were several options too. Everywhere in Bristol seems to be on the money when it comes to offering vegan and veggie which is great!
The eggs were amazing, cooked to perfection and so tasty! Next time I'll have something like eggs benedict or florentine!
It's lovely isn't it! And whilst the sun was shining, it was almost like we were on holiday.
