Burgers at The Paget, Loughborough

Epic burgers are coming to Loughborough. In fact, epic burgers, chips, hot dogs and puds are ALL coming to Loughborough. Thanks to The Paget. 

The Paget is very well hidden in the heart of Loughborough’s golden triangle (the student area behind Ashby Road) but I would recommend you go and seek it out. This Steamin’ Billy pub is in the middle of a refurb and has Rib Nights King Ahmed Kage in to look at their menu. He’s looked and it’s going to be awesome!

The new menu is short and very sweet with a range of street food inspired burgers and dogs plus sides like pulled pork, onion rings and chips seasoned with a secret spice mix (oooer). The burgers are not only handmade but also minced in-house, well seasoned and served in soft brioche buns, they also include local produce like Sparkenhoe Red Leicester cheese.  We also tried the lamb merguez and the smoked pork sausages along with a seriously spicy chimichurri – packed full of heat and really moreish. Give me a spoon and I’d eat that all up on its own!

If you have room, I suggest you peruse the puddings list. We tried the coke float and dear god it was good. I mean there’s not much can go wrong – Fentiman’s curiosity cola (deliciously old school), salted caramel ice-cream and chocolate sprinkles. Don’t think about the calories just think about getting it all in your mouth before the person you’re sharing it with does.

I’m sure this menu at The Paget will be a hit with locals and students alike. Its all reasonably priced and with a new selection of craft beer too, it’s going to be a popular place for sure. The new menu launches NEXT WEEK so why don’t you pop down and try all this for yourself?
