I’ve been avoiding it but the time has come to finally admit to myself that Christmas is on the way. In fact, its only 50 days away! So, I’ve tentatively started my shopping and begun to think about what we’re going to eat. Talking of what to eat, the lovely people at Fudge Kitchen very kindly sent me their Christmas Selection – a stocking filler of three gorgeous pieces of gourmet fudge straight from heaven.
The Christmas Sharing Selection retails at £9.00 and contains a trio of hand decorated fudge squares in seasonal flavours Winter Sunrise (Orange and Cranberry) Christmas Pudding (fruity, boozy and with spice) and After Dinner Mint (Luscious chocolate and mint). Don’t be fooled by the name – there will be no sharing.
I was impressed by how much the flavours came through in each of the fudges although, with such a rich treat, the three chunks will last us a couple of days! A couple of bites each is more than enough!
The Orange and Cranberry was my favourite – rich and fudgy but with a real citrus tang. I even had a small piece of fruit in one mouthful. Delish! The spicing in the Christmas Pudding was incredible! Again, the flavours were spot on. Finally the After Dinner Mint, the hubbies fave. It wasn’t too sweet and the mint really does taste like a certain after dinner mint. 🙂
Fudge Kitchen started in Blackpool in 1983 and now they have shops in Bath, York, Cambridge, Canterbury, Windsor, Edinburgh, Ripon and Oxford. All of their fudge is handmade and hand decorated by an artisan staff in their new dedicated production facility in Kent, but now with an extended shelf life of six months. If there isn’t a shop near you, they will be exhibiting at the BBC Good Food Show Winter, at the NEC in Birmingham from 27th Nov – 1st December. Go and get yourself a sample and better still pick up something naughty! They produce over 40 lines including drinking fudge and DIY kits.
Finally if you don;t have tickets yet, use promo code GB15 for 15% off 🙂
*Fudge Kitchen sent me the Christmas Selection free of charge but my opinions are my own.
Can't wait to try those Christmas flavours at the show – they sound delicious!
